Bitcoin (English: Bitcoin, abbreviation: BTC) is a cryptocurrency based on decentralization, using peer-to-peer network and consensus initiative, open source code, and using blockchain as the underlying technology. Bitcoin was created by Satoshi Nakamoto (net Satoshi Nakamoto published a paper on October 31, 2008, and on January 3, 2009, the genesis block was born. In some countries, central banks, government agencies, and academia, Bitcoin is regarded as a virtual commodity rather than a currency. Monetary finance believes that currency has four basic functions: medium of transaction, unit of account, store of value, and deferred payment. However, due to its high volatility, it does not have the latter two basic functions and is not a currency.
